We are a non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded with a profound inspiration from the timeless words of Srila Prabhupada. Once Srila Prabhupada Ji saw some very poor children had to eat the things people threw away and how they were fighting with the dogs to get these scraps of food, tears swelled in his eyes and he said, “We have to see that nobody goes hungry within a ten mile radius”.
At Atmavat Animal Welfare Foundation, we embrace a compassionate spirit and extend our care to our animal companions. While there are indeed many organizations dedicated to feeding people in need, we recognized a significant gap in addressing the well-being of stray animals, who often suffer silently on the fringes of society.
